报告人简介:Toshi Miyoshi obtained his Ph.D in Chemistry (1997) at Kyoto University, Japan. After postdoctoral work at Institute of Polymer Research Dresden, Germany, he joined National Institute of Advanced Technology and Industrial Science (AIST), Japan, in 2000. He joined the department of polymer science at the University of Akron as associate professor in 2010 and was promoted to Professor in 2018. His research interests are focusing on polymer crystallization, sustainable polymers, carbon materials, supramolecules, and biomacromolecules, and development of solid-state NMR spectroscopy.
报告摘要:State-of-the artSolid-state NMR spectroscopy is one of powerful experimental tools to access structure and molecular dynamics of soft matters, especially, synthetic polymers at the atomic levels.1 In this talk, I will present our recent efforts on i) chain trajectory and polymer crystallization,2, 3) ii) development of novel polyolefins4) and iii) solid-phase chemical reactions for carbon fiber precursors5) by using various solid-state NMR techniques.
